On December 21, CECEP Techand provided 3,600 sets of "Amazing-U Vegamatrix" substrates as assistance to the China-Africa Green Technology Park (Mauritania) project, actively supporting the construction of the Great Green Wall of Africa.

The Great Green Wall of Africa is a pan-African vegetation barrier initiative established in 2007 through a resolution by the African Union. It encompasses all the arid and semi-arid regions north and south of the Sahara Desert. The core area covers a total landmass of 780 million hectares and involves a population of 232 million people. It has now become a "green barrier" for the economic and social development of Africa and is referred to as a symbol of Africa's readiness to face the future.

The China-Africa Green Technology Park (Mauritania) project is an important initiative to deepen the implementation of President Xi Jinping's keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. It supports the construction of the Great Green Wall of Africa and serves as a significant platform for the development of a China-Africa community with a shared green future. The park is located in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania in West Africa, covering an area of 100 mu (approximately 6.67 hectares). It includes zones for sand blocking and fixation technologies, water-saving irrigation technologies, soil improvement technologies, and plant introduction and breeding. The park provides an advantageous and promising platform for the promotion and application of excellent Chinese desertification control products, technologies and enterprises in the construction of the Great Green Wall of Africa.

As a product with completely independent intellectual property rights developed by CECEP Techand, the 3,600 sets of "Amazing-U Vegamatrix" substrate provided in this aid will be used in the sand blocking and fixation technology zone of the park. The substrate is a lightweight and environmentally friendly product created by Techand research and development team using principles of soil science. It is produced by the organic combination of substrate materials, nanomaterials and polymer materials. Compared to ordinary substrate products, it has advantages such as water retention, breathability, resistance to root decay, absence of heavy metals, degradability of materials, absence of diseases and pests, ensuring plant survival rates, simplified planting procedures, short pre-cultivation cycles, lightweight texture, and long service life. It has been widely used in nursery planting, vertical greening and other fields.

This voyage of the "Amazing-U Vegamatrix" substrate will effectively expand the application scenarios of substrates and play a positive role in promoting the extension of the industry chain upstream and downstream. CECEP Techand will take this opportunity to vigorously promote technological product innovation and upgrading in the field of desertification control. It will actively promote the application of plant system products, including the authorized new plant variety "Desert Techand" by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and drive green and low-carbon development powered by technological innovation.
