On November 11, the consortium led by CQEC and Sifang Management received an Integrity Evaluation Record Notice from the Bureau of International Economic Cooperation Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce, granting the consortium an additional 5 points in the integrity evaluation system (valid for six years) for its work on the Tonga Royal Tomb Periphery Renovation Project.

As a key foreign aid project of China, the renovation of the periphery surrounding Tonga’s Royal Tomb aims to enhance the landscape environment, improve local tourism infrastructure, and further promote friendship and cooperation between China and Tonga. Since the start of construction, the project team has carefully planned the schedule, coordinated resources, and overcome numerous challenges to ensure steady progress and successful delivery.

In recent years, CQEC has actively responded to the Belt and Road Initiative and advanced its going global strategy. Since 2013, the company has undertaken consulting, design and management tasks for China’s foreign aid projects. After more than a decade of development, it has leveraged strong engineering design capabilities and project management expertise to expand its overseas presence across Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa and other regions. With outstanding contract performance and high engineering quality, many of its aid projects have repeatedly earned MOFCOM’s Excellent Project certification, received integrity bonus points, and been honored and praised by partner governments.
